This means that no ordinary amateur golfer should feel bad about themselves. First, one should hit ten balls at your imaginary hole. Then, measure the results of the ten shots. Them one must evaluate how many shots stayed on the fairway and the ones that did not roll into the rough. If you hit more than seven drives that stayed in the fairway, one can congratulate themselves and then re-evaluate your imaginary hole to make sure it’s not too wide. You would want this test to be difficult enough to really help you find a shot that you can rely on when the pressure is on. Your go-to shot must be very dependable, meaning that it should have at least a success percentage hovering around seventy percent. Chances are that your success percentage with the driver was less than 70 percent, so go to the next club in your test, which is called the wooded triple. Then, one should hit ten more balls using the wooded third to measure the results. This process should be repeated until you find a club that you can use that will get the ball into the fairway at least seventy percent of the time. With time, you may find that you can only keep short irons in the fairway because your shot dispersion is too wide. When one has a go to shot, it makes the game shorter in the sense that they are positive that once they get to a certain area on the green, it becomes game over.
