Greens keepers are the ones who measure the speed of golf greens with a special device called. This special device is used to compare green speed with a facility to ensure consistency. This tool that measures how fast a green allows the golf ball to travel. A greens keeper can increase the speed of the green by mowing the grass shorter, mowing the grass shorter, mowing more than once in multiple directions, or by topdressing the green with a small amount of fine sand to alter the putting surface. A person who is very knowledgeable about golf but doesn’t have the physical abilities meant to conquer the sport on a regular basis can always become a greens keeper. Such people that are designated to be greens keepers are people that are knowledgeable about not only the sport of golf, but the golf course and its neighboring facility. Greens keepers are also people who should know the rules inside and out. Such people are also usually ahead of the system in the regards that they always think a step ahead and can also stay on the same level with the golfers and what they are doing, which is mandatory for success in this industry. Also, people with similar traits and qualities could also be caddies because caddies exhibit similar traits and requirements.
